Bio
Karen Fogelberg-Hill graduated high school in the 1960's, married, had children and got her RN. She worked, then retired. But, there's a backstory.
Karen was blessed with parents who revered books and an older sister who loved reading to her. She became a voracious reader. At eight, she created her only published work: an anatomically complete, red-ribbon bound pictorial about her family. Her parents were delighted, her sister, mortified.
Over the years, writing poems became her sustenance and sanctuary. Now, late in life, Karen belongs to a writing group--still writing poetry--but also exploring fiction and non-fiction storytelling. She finds joy in sharing her work and listening to what others have written; she feels emboldened to present her work on a larger stage.
Her favorite authors include Stephen King, Kahlil Gibran, Margaret Atwood and the members of her writing class.
