Selling your book has plenty of challenges and SDWEG will help you along the way, including with our monthly marketing presentation followed by Q&A and discussion. Additionally, when meetings are in person, SDWEG members may display and sell their books at the events. Opportunity to have speaking, book signing, and other publicity events listed on the Guild’s Calendar.
Open Mic Nights
At least once a year, the Guild holds an Open Mic Night where members can present a short reading from one of their published works or works in progress. This is an annual favorite event.
First Page Slam
Submit an anonymous first page of your upcoming book and get expert feedback on its content, style, and marketability.
Get caught up on the latest news of the Guild, including upcoming events, recent book publications and awards, and much more.
An annual compilation of short stories, poems, and imaginative essays written by SDWEG members has been published every year since 2012. All members are invited to submit writings for consideration.
In-depth workshops from writing and editing experts are offered by the Guild each quarter.
Manuscript Review program
Having fresh eyes on your manuscript is useful, especially when its from experienced fellow writers and editors. SDWEG members get the opportunity to draw on that expertise for a nominal added fee.

Get to know your fellow writers and editors at SDWEG events. Join the virtual meeting early and enjoy a few minutes connecting with other San Diego writers and editors, then stay for the keynote presentations and learn something new.
