Join us at our June 28, 2021 monthly meeting.
Are your characters...interested in each other? Are there some longing looks? Or would you like your characters to start flirting and they’re not behaving? But, you don't want the focus of your story to be all about the romance. You want some...sizzle.
In this class, we discuss why it's good to add a little bit of sizzle to fiction. Next, we analyze sizzling works of fiction and why or why not it works. Then we use TV shows and movie clips showing sizzle, with the suggestion to try writing some scenes so participants can practice with their works of fiction.
Our presenter is author Theresa Halvorsen. Her books include the recently launched River City Widows, Lost Aboard, and Warehouse Dreams. She also co-hosts a writing podcast, Semi-Sages of the Pages.
Our monthly meetings start with signing in and networking at 6:30pm, followed by a short business meeting at 6:45pm, and the presentation begins at 7 p.m.
Invitations with the Zoom meeting information will be sent to registrants in advance of the meeting.
