With the speed of light, artificial intelligence seems to be taking over the world. In particular, the art and literary worlds are facing the most dramatic transformation since the Guttenberg press with innovative programs like ChatGPT and Dall-e.
This workshop will explore the latest legal developments in the world of AI and copyright, the government’s actions to protect an “author’s” rights, and how authors/artists can protect themselves against the robots.
Jodé Millman is a New York Attorney, the award-winning author of the “Queen City Crimes” series, a reviewer for Booktrib.com, and a member of the New York State Bar Association Committee on Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section. She received a Daphne DuMaurier Award for Excellence in Mystery/Suspense and Silver Falchion Finalist for her sophomore mystery, ”Hooker Avenue.” The latest series installment, “The Empty Kayak,” was released in May 2023 and a Finalist for the Clue Award.
Jodé received her BA and JD from Syracuse University, and she served as a Kaminstein Copyright Scholar while attending NYU Law School as a visiting student in Intellectual Property.
