MANUSCRIPT CRITIQUE PROGRAM

Having fresh eyes on your manuscript is useful, especially when it's from experienced fellow writers and editors. SDWEG members get the opportujity to draw on that expertise for a nominal extra fee.


MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

Get caught up on the latest news of the Guild through The Guilded Newsletter, which includes upcoming events, members' recent book publications and awards, and much more.

Access to the newsletter is limited to logged-in members. 


ANTHOLOGY SUBMISSIONS

A compilation of themed, imaginative short stories, poems, and essays written by SDWEG members has been published annually since 2012. All members are invited to submit writings for consideration. Selected members are invited to read at the launch of the anthology.


MONTHLY MEETINGS AND PRESENTATIONS

Learn valuable information about the art of writing, editing, publishing, marketing, and much more (no charge for members, nominal charge for guests). Most presentations are hosted on Zoom with occasional in-person meetings each year.



AUTHOR MARKETING SUPPORT GROUP

Selling your book presents plenty of challenges and SDWEG will help you along the way, including with ouro monthly author marketing support group followed by Q&A and discussion.


WORKSHOPS

The Guild offers opportunities to delve deeper with greater participation in interactive workshops from writing and editing experts. Be prepared to share your work or do some writing in the workshops. Nonmembers pay the cost of membership to take part and become a member of the Guild.

In her debut novel, Loving Lavender Finch, indie author Kelly Bargabos tackles difficult subject matter while she explores the intricate dance between truth and vulnerability through the eyes of a seventeen-year-old girl struggling to find herself amidst trauma. KC Grifant is launching a new card game based on her award-winning weird west book series. Nico Waters has written a chapter book, Pickleball Problems, for kids ages 8-11. Published by Capstone on August 1, the book is part of the Jake Maddox Sports Series. In Pickleball Problems, Ada Wilson's tennis-loving older sister suggests Ada learn to play so they can play together. But at tennis camp, Ada discovers that tennis isn't nearly as fun as pickleball. Which sport will she choose, and will she be happy with her choice? 


Thomas Wing’s newly released novel, Against All Enemies, provides an eerie depiction of the contemporary world sliding from military conflagration to global wars that destroy civilians in disastrous numbers. 

Sundress Publications recently featured Jane Muschenetz’s data poetry collection, PowerPoint in its “Sundress Reads” column. The review stated, “Muschenetz has combined the charm and comfort of browsing a really good piece of informative digital media with the tone of a seasoned diarist. These poems are gripping and educational.” Additionally, BookSirens is offering a copy of Muschenetz’s All the Bad Girls Wear Russian Accents to writers who want to try their hand at reviewing the book.
